Exporter Source
Topic: Export Tool
Here's the source-code, its in C# and uses Visual Studio .Net 2003. Please let me know if you have any questions/suggestions.
It'd also be great if you drop me a line just so I know who's using it.
Email me at myrlexport@gmail.com or post here.

Export Tool
Topic: Export Tool
I spent the better part of last week writing an export utility for a friend on running-log.com who wanted to export data.
But I realized that it might be useful for other people as well. So I tried to make it generic and easy to use.

Here it is:
RLExport.zip (15KB)

Please note, this utility requires the Microsoft .Net Framework Version 1.1 to run.
It can be obtained from the Microsoft website or via Windows Update.

Here are some screenshots:

Intro screen

Login screen, here you provide the credentials you use when logging into running-log.com.
(it defaults to the guest user)

After successfully logging in, you select the date range you'd like to export

Here's a shot of the progress dialog, it will show you in real-time what the records look like as it is downloading them.

You're done! Use this screen to select a folder where a tab-delimited file named "rlexport.txt" will be written.

You can archive the output for your records or import it into another online running log site.
The file is tab-delimited and seems to be Excel-friendly.

The downside is, this utility requires the Microsoft .Net Framework Version 1.1 to run.
It can be obtained from the Microsoft website or via Windows Update.

Here it is:
